Get Involved
AIGA Austin is run by a dedicated board of directors and by equally devoted committee members and task force members. These volunteers share their time and passion to help run AIGA Austin events and programs. Each board member directs their attention to one of AIGA's several initiatives on design. We are continually seeking volunteers to get involved in these initiatives. If you’d like to get involved, please contact taskforce@aigaaustin.org to join a task force or volunteer@aigaaustin.org to join our volunteer committee.
AIGA Austin has created task forces so that we can best serve our community. Task forces are small member driven groups that research the needs of the community for that task force's initiative. They use that information to brainstorm effective ways the board can implement change to fulfill our community's needs.
Business Outreach
Our business outreach task force aims to help the broader business community understand the commercial value of design.
Education Outreach
Our chapter is committed to offering college level graphic design and high school level students a variety of opportunities to supplement their education. Don't forget to get more info at the Student Groups section. This task force researches mentorship, internship, and student group needs.

Interactive
What does Interaction Design mean to our community? This task force seeks to address the needs and concerns of today’s interactive and user experience designers. Join us in creating meaningful and relevant programming for this design community.
Membership
If members are the heart and soul of AIGA, then the membership task force is the group responsible for keeping the beat. This task force reviews member benefit opportunities and the role the membership would like the AIGA Austin Board of Directors to take.
Sustainability
AIGA Austin seeks to provides sustainable design solutions and resources relevant to the design profession. This task force investigates ways the chapter can operate more sustainability and identifies sustainable opportunities.
