AIGA Austin

The Fellow Award program is a means of recognizing mature designers who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter. The areas of education, writing, leadership and reputation, as well as the practice of design are given equal consideration in measuring significant contribution.

AIGA Austin has recognized two Fellows: DJ Stout, Pentagram Design, in 2010 and Mike Hicks, Hixo, Inc., in 2007. Michael Bierut, Pentagram Design, presented the award to DJ Stout at the Belmont and Chris Hill presented the award to Mike Hicks at the Elk's Lodge. 

We recognize our Fellow recipients at a gala and at the Annual Membership Party and the nominating committee, largely composed of our Advisory Committee members, and members nominate a Fellow every two years. Be on the look out for AIGA Austin's next Fellow recipient in 2012.
